Invasive Species
A speciality of ours, particularly the purple menace: Rhododendron ponticum. Having mastered an effective technique for applying herbicide straight into the living stems of this problematic shrub, we are confident in our ability to deliver effective control and release the woodland understorey from its malignant influence.
This 'stem injection' technique has significant advantages. Compared to foliar spray treatments, the herbicide is administered in a very controlled and targeted way, almost completely removing the possibility of run-off. Furthermore, if a thorough application is made, it can completely kill the rhododendron in one hit, with no need to treat resulting regrowth.
Thanks to the Forestry Grant Scheme, this work can be partially subsidised in some cases.
